Background: Mark Whitehead is a Reader in Geography at the Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences, Aberystwyth University, and a Senior Research Fellow of the City Institute, York University (Toronto). His research and teaching focus on the intersections between environmental and political geography and he has a particular interest in ecological governance and urbanization. Mark is Associate Editor of the journal Environmental Values and Reviews Editor for the journal Area. He is also Human Dimension Researcher Manager of the Climate Change Consortium of Wales.
